“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wiseman who built his house on the rock". - Matt. 7:24

"Your Word, My Word"

  Quote by Pastor Tim Sheets

Oh, how I love your law!
I meditate on it all day long.

I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding.

  • Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.
  • I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
  • I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

Psalm 119:97-100

O, Taste and See that the Lord is Good!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.<br>
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. - Psalms 23:5

Get Skillful and Godly Wisdom

Get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation);

“Do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. Forsake not [Wisdom], and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her, and she will guard you. - Prov. 4:5,6”

Excerpt from “A Tip for Reading Your Bible"

Often, when we read the Bible, we make it our aim to read as much of it as possible in one sitting.  But I want to suggest you do something very different.  The next time you read your Bible, instead of reading as much as you can as fast as you can, read very slowly.  Determine in advance that it doesn’t matter how much you read – but how deeply you read.  Set your heart not on gaining information but on getting revelation. - (by Lynne Hammond)

Confidence Comes From Meditating The Word

by Keith Butler | The Anointed Word

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us” (1 John 5:14 KJV).

Reading and meditating the Word of God produces courage to face any situation in life.  It gives you confidence that God will do what He said in His Word.

For example, it’s hard not to have confidence while reading First John 4:4, “…greater is he that’s in you, than he that’s in the world.

As you meditate that, you mutter it over and over in your heart.  “Greater means bigger than; that means stronger than; that means larger than; that means smarter than.  Greater is He that is in me. He’s in me. He’s not out there; He’s in me.  Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world.  Who’s in the world?  The devil is in the world.  Demons are in the world.  Those that come against me are in the world.  But greater is He that is in me.”
